Refund and Cancellation Policy

Thalassery Co-Operative Rural Bank Ltd. No F1263 does not provide refunds or cancellations as we are a primary agricultural co-operative credit society. We utilize a payment gateway exclusively to receive loan repayments from our customers.

Refund Conditions

Amount once paid through the payment gateway shall not be refunded except under the following circumstances:

  • Multiple debits from the customer’s card/bank account due to technical error.
  • Customer’s account debited with excess amount in a single transaction due to technical error.
  • Payment charged to customer’s card/bank account but transaction marked as unsuccessful due to technical error.

In such cases, the excess amount (excluding payment gateway charges) will be refunded.

Refund Application Process

The customer must apply for a refund with the transaction number and original payment receipt, if available. The application should be sent to:

Upon verification and validation of the claim, the excess amount will be refunded electronically to the borrower within 7 calendar days. Bank processing times may vary (3–7 business days).

Limitations of Responsibility

Thalassery Co-Operative Rural Bank Ltd. No F1263 shall not be liable for failed payment instructions due to the following:

  • Incomplete, inaccurate, invalid, or delayed payment instructions issued by the customer.
  • Insufficient funds or limits in the customer’s account.
  • Funds under encumbrance or charge.
  • Delays or refusals by the customer’s bank to honour the payment.
  • Circumstances beyond the bank's control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, power/system failures, etc.).

In case of failed transactions, customers will be notified via email.

Account Suspension and Termination

Thalassery Co-Operative Rural Bank Ltd. No F1263 reserves the right to suspend or terminate user accounts at its sole discretion, without notice or penalty, for any reason including suspected fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity. Such cases may be referred to law enforcement authorities.

Upon termination, users must immediately stop using the services. These remedies are in addition to those available at law or in equity.
